About your Midwife:

Sarah received her certification by exam in May of 2019 and her Arizona Licence in February 2020 after a 4 year apprenticeship under 5 different midwives at a busy east valley birth center. Her experience as a doula and student midwife have given her much wisdom in the areas of vaginal birth after cesarean, optimal fetal positioning, breech birth, and births with children in attendance. She herself has had a cesarean birth for breech, repeat cesarean, and a very fast, vaginal, accidental home birth of a 10# surrogate baby. Sarah continues her training with ongoing education and hand on skills offered by the surrounding community midwives and conferences. She is a member of the Arizona Association of Midwives and is currently the student midwife liaison. Sarah has a true heart for service and genuinely cares about her clients wishes. She strives to be a guide down their birthing path so that the new mother at the end unfolds into an empowered, confident nurturer and the child ushered earthside is engrained with the peacefulness of birth for generations to come.

Homebirth Care Includes:

Prenatal Care:

  • Midwives see clients one on one for the entirety of the visit…. my appointments are usually about 2 hours.

  • You will be seen every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, and every week thereafter until delivery. All of the visits are done in the comfort of your home.

  • Your baby’s growth and well being will be monitored via belly measurements, fetal heart tones, and assessment of fetal positioning.

  • Your nutrition, hydration, and exercise will be evaluated to create the best environment to grow a baby.

  • Throughout your appointments we will discuss blood testing (also drawn in the comfort of your home), if you want to do ultrasounds, the stages of labor, physiological birth, contraction management techniques, optimal fetal positioning, and much more!

  • Online or in person childbirth education classes though Warrior Woman Birth in conjunction with my midwife collective group.

Please know that at this time I:

  • Do not take insurance but will happily connect you with a homebirth billing professional.
